How successful has ice-fishing season been for Bass Lake anglers?
At least one local expert believes it’s too early to tell.
“There’s really no way to assess that,” said Gil Chantee, lake-area winter historian and chief of fisheries science at Bass Lake Center for Fish and Sundry Wildlife. “Touch base with me again in June.”
Almost no additional local experts were willing to comment.
